Geraldine Bennett

Geraldine D. Bennett, age 68, of St. Cloud, passed away at her home in August 23, 2012. Services are planned for Wednesday, September 5, at 12:00 noon, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Friends and family are welcome to call on Tuesday evening from 5-7, as well as one hour prior to the service.

Geraldine was born in Staples, MN, the daughter of Donald and Luzetta (Martin) Peterson. She graduated from Staples, High School in 1962, and got her Education Degree at St. Cloud State. She furthered her education by obtaining a masters degree at St. Mary University of Minnesota. On August 24, 1988, she married Edward Bennett. Geraldine taught in the Rocori School District for approximately 38 years, prior to her retirement.

Geraldine is survived by her husband, Edward; sons, Jon and Chad (Lee) Pulju; stepdaughters, Amy (Jake) Schechinger and Michele (Brad) Nelson; brothers, Ronald (Mary) and Lynn Peterson; sisters, Sandra (Ken) Hassler and Karen (Tom) Olson; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael, and parents, Donald and Luzetta Peterson.
