Gerald Sandberg

Gerald Sandberg, age 83, of Pine River, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. He was born to Gordon and Vera Sandberg on February 22, 1938, in Cokato, MN.

Gerald served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved to shake dice with his kids and grandkids.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy; brother, David Sandberg (Wanda); children: Connie Christensen (Arvid), Carrie Larson (Ray), Ronnie Sandberg (Lisa), Jay Sandberg (Shelly); grandchildren: Nancy Fenstermaker (Daniel), Eric Kline (Traci), Kevin Christensen (Jen), Jeff Kline (Lora), Kyle Sandberg (Jen); Matt Kline (Samantha);17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Debbie, Carol, Virginia and Verna.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Friday, May 21, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, followed by a celebration of life at the Pine River American Legion from 3 to 5 PM.
