Gerald "Gerry" Boe, 88, of Crosslake, MN (formerly of Mpls) passed away peacefully at the Mpls VA Hospital on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Funeral service for Gerry will be Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00AM at Crosslake Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery in Pequot Lakes, MN.
Gerry was born to Ole and Alma (Kjos) Boe in Pequot Lakes, MN on November 6, 1926. Gerry was a veteran of the US Army and served during WWII as Captain of the Guards at the Nuremberg Trials. He owned the Gerry Boe Insurance Agency in Edina and Crosslake until his retirement.
Gerry is survived by his wife of 68 years, Grace (Hoff) Boe; children, David (Jean), Dennis (Katy), Douglas (Carol), and Diana Oelfke (John); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Ruhl (Jeanne); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Clara Boe, Norma LaPitz, Gladys Bjorkstrand, Irene Hollman, and Betty Kempenich. Memorials preferred.
