Georgia Belle Hite, 82, of Brainerd, MN, formerly of Battle Mountain, NV, passed away August 11, 2017.
Georgia was born August 3, 1935 in Boise, ID, to Pat and Pauline Brannan. Georgia and her family eventually moved to Riverton, WY. There, she met and married Jimmie Lee Hite, on October 16, 1954. They were married for 60 years. They moved to various states, and eventually landed in Minnesota. Georgia raised 5 children, and also worked outside the home. She was a wonderful wife and spectacular mother, and was blessed with a wonderful singing voice. She was a funny, strong, beautiful, elegant, generous, loyal, and smart soul.
Georgia is survived by her two sons, Thomas Hite, of Hanna, WY and Kevin Hite, of Grand Junction, CO; her three daughters, Linda Laber, of Bismarck, ND, Lisa Hite, of Brainerd, MN, and Paula Strong, of Laramie, WY; and two sisters, Geraldine Hashe, of Denver, CO and Judy Raferty, of Pleasant Hill, CA. Preceding Georgia in her death are her husband, Jimmie Lee Hite, who passed away June 7, 2015; her brother, Jim Brannon; and both of her parents.
