George Beucler

June 22, 1925 — June 5, 2017

George D. Beucler, 91, of Aitkin, MN passed away peacefully at his home on Sugar Lake on Monday June 5, 2017.
Services for George will be held Friday June 16, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Osseo, MN. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral mass at 11:00 am.
Burial with military honors will be held Tuesday June 20, 2017 at Fort Snelling, at 10:30am.

George was born on June 22, 1925 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Verr and Lillian (Sather) Beucler. He grew up on a farm there, moved and graduated from Anoka High School. George enlisted in the USNavy and proudly served in WWII on the USS Capricornus AKA 57. He returned and married Corinne Roden of Osseo, MN on June 25, 1947. Together they raised a family of five children.
George was a second generation barber who worked with both his father-in-law Leo Roden and his son Kurt Beucler. George was a proud member of the Osseo Lions, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, and the Osseo Fire Department for over 40 years. He loved participating and watching all sports especially golf. After his retirement, he served as a ranger in Isle, MN at Fiddlesticks golf course. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. George especially loved spending time with his family.

George is survived by his children, Georgiana Walsh of Deerwood, Stephanie Beucler of Hastings, and Marc Beucler of Aitkin; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Lillian Erickson and Elizabeth Lindgren; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Corinne; daughter Christine; son-in-law John Walsh; son Kurt; and six brothers and sisters. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Mn.
