Gene Tallant

Gene ?Charlie? Tallant, age 54, of rural Pequot Lakes, died at his home Wednesday, May 19, 2004. Funeral services will be Monday, May 24, 11 AM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake. Friends may visit for one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
Gene Charles Tallant was born September 3, 1949 in Minneapolis, to Gene and Carin (Burkehart) Tallant. He grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. He moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he lived and worked for 14 years. Two years ago, following the death of his stepmother, he returned to Pequot Lakes, where he lived with his father. He worked as a painter for Rainbow Painting in Pequot Lakes. Charlie was an easy-going, open person with many friends. He loved to fish, a past-time that he enjoyed year-round, and he often shared his catches with neighbors and friends.

Charlie is survived by his father, Gene Tallant, of Pequot Lakes; his children, Jennifer Hollingshead, of Katy, TX, Daniel Tallant, of Crystal River, FL, Gene and Jessie Tallant, both of Milaca, and Chad Anderson of Pine River; a stepsister, Margarete Keene, of Andover; 7 grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His mother preceded him in death, in 1976.
