Gayle Polonus

Gayle Ileen Morford Polonus, age 94, of Pequot Lakes, MN, and Pharr, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Senior Class Care in Nisswa, MN. Gayle was born June 3, 1921 in Brainerd, MN, to Charles Avery and Lois Alberta (Dickenson) Cass. On January 23, 1942, she married Willis Morford of Pequot Lakes. They lived there until retirement when they traveled south in the winter. She worked for the Dick Parks Gas Company of Nisswa for 27 years and was a member of Grace E.U.B. church of Pequot Lakes.

She is survived by sons, W. Avery (Marsha) Morford and Larry (Kathy) Morford both of Pequot Lakes; grandchildren: Greg (Sheila) Morford, DeAnn (Tim) Gerdin, DeNae (Bryan) Malley, Katie Morford and Alex Morford; sister, Maxine Kobes of Oregon; brother, Coleman Cass of California; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Willis Morford, William Dickman and Theodore Polonus; brothers, Hubart Cass and Milan Cass; sister, Shirley Baldwin; and stepfather, Leo Dee.

Private family services will be held at the Baxter Cemetery.
