Gary M. Rohr

Gary Michael Rohr, age 73, of Staples, peacefully passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on July 15, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial for Gary will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples at 11:00am with Father Gabriel Walz officiating. There will be lunch and fellowship following the service. There will be a visitation held for friends and family on Friday July 22, 2022 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples from 5:00-7:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Gary was born in Wadena, MN on June 1, 1949 to Herman Jr. and Betty (Worden) Rohr. On December 11, 1971, Gary married Jeanne Dalen, and together they had four sons. He held a number of jobs during his career including Head Cook for the Motley Schools, designing trusses and he retired from Central Lakes College as a custodian.

He enjoyed a quiet, peaceful lake to go fishing, venturing into the woods to go hunting, and a good round of golf with friends. Gary was known for his excellent pie baking skills, love of cooking and was great at canning. He was skilled on the guitar and enjoyed playing for friends and family.

Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne, his children Jeremy (Cynthia), Chad (Jolene), and Michael, and his grandchildren Lindsay, Laura, Lucas, Jason, and Zachary. He will be missed by many friends, especially his neighbors Berkley and Brixton.

His is preceded in death by his son, Jason, his parents, his brothers Larry and Greg, and his step-dad Clair Theisen.
