Gail Marie Dukowitz, 51, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully September 10, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.
Gail was born September 3, 1963, in Wadena, MN, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Watkins) Worden. In 1982, she graduated from Staples High School. She married Jerry on September 21, 1985. Raising her family was so important to Gail. She truly enjoyed and did everything she could to support their hobbies - especially cheering them on at athletic events. She was so very proud of them and the people they have become. Gail was selfless. She was always thinking of others - an attribute that served her well in her many years of service at various school districts, most recently in Brainerd. Gail dedicated herself to helping children with special needs. She enjoyed the outdoors - camping, gardening and boating. She also loved work on craft projects and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She will be missed by her husband, Jerry; mom, Alice; children, Rebecca (Josh) Brooks, Kyle Dukowitz and Trevor Dukowitz; siblings, Linda Knodel, Sue Brawley, Robert Worden, and Randy Worden; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; mother-in-law, Marie Dukowitz; and stepfather, Bert Eskro.
