Fred Friedrichs

Fred Friedrichs, 76, of Brainerd, MN died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Services for Fred will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN, with Pastor Kari Williamson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service.

Fred was born March 23, 1943 in Mankato, MN to Clarence and LaVon (Greenwell) Friedrichs. He served in the US Marines. Fred was united in marriage to Julianne Michels May 1, 1965. They lived in Duluth following their marriage and later moved to Savage, MN. Fred worked as a welder for NSP/Northern States Power for 32 years and volunteered for the Savage Fire Department for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 627 in Nisswa. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, and biking. Fred was reserved, stubborn and had an active sense of humor.

Fred is survived by his wife, Juli; children, Amy (Jeff) Boche, Kerri (David) Friedrichs-Dahl, granddaughters, Taylor Dahl, and Sydney Dahl; siblings, Doreen (Bill) Ulrich, DuWayne (Terri) Friedrichs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and LaVon Friedrichs and brother, Jay (Carol) Friedrichs. Family requests memorials be given to The American Heart Association.
