Franklin Raeth

Franklin L. Raeth, 46, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his residence.


Franklin Lee Raeth was born December 13, 1970, in Brainerd, Minnesota. He grew up in Buffalo and Carlton. Frank attended Buffalo Elementary and graduated from Carlton High School in 1989. He attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth and the University of Wisconsin, Superior. In his youth he was a dedicated 4-H member. Frank was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, Boundary Waters camping, hunting and cross country skiing. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his compassion and ability to make people feel at ease in his company. Frank's kind and gentle spirit and sense of humor was the best! By far the greatest of his gifts was his capacity to love. He especially loved his sons. His true passion was spending time with Nicholas and Tyler of whom he was very proud.


Frank is survived by: his children, Nicholas and Tyler; his parents Juli and Lee of Buffalo, MN; sisters, Mary and Kristen; nieces, Colettienne, Zoelie and Ophelia; nephew, Jackson; Aunt Muriel and Grand Aunt Vivian.


A celebration of life was held on March 25 at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes. Memorials may be designated to the Minnesota State 4-H Foundation, the Pine River Food Shelf or a memorial of choice.
