Frank Joslin

Frank Laurel Joslin, 74, Brainerd, passed away April 20, 2018 at St. Cloud Hospital with his family by his side. Funeral services for Frank will be 11:00AM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN with Pastor Erika Nilsen officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Frank was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on November 25, 1943 to Russel and Helen Joslin. Frank married Carolyn Fuller on December 23, 1960. They had two daughters, Jody, and Lori. Before he passed, Frank told Carol he had been married to the love of his life for 57 years. Frank worked in the trucking business, both as a driver and in management for a great deal of his life. He worked for Midwest Emery in the Twin Cities, and was the Vice President of Jim Palmer trucking in Missoula, Montana for more than twenty years. For a few years, Frank owned and operated Seguchie Resort on Mille Lacs Lake. In 2009, Frank and Carol retired back to Brainerd area. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was known to be the last one to reel up his line even in the worst weather conditions. He loved to camp, and the family shares many happy memories of camping both in Minnesota and Montana, including time spent at their cabin on Wise Lake. While in Montana, Frank developed a love for his horses and mules, and loved hunting with them and taking family on rides.

Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn, daughters Jody (Tim) Sweet, and Lori Feistner, Grandchildren: Kris Fielding and Nick Fielding, Riley Feistner, and Branden Feistner, Jennifer (Dan) Owens, Ethan (Gina Czmowski) Sweet, and Erin (Chad) Sietsema. Frank had 5 great grandchildren who adored him. Frank is also survived by many loving extended family members. The family would like to thank the medical staff in the Medical Progressive Care Unit 1 at St. Cloud Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Frank and his family also very much appreciated the care of Dr. Roger Macy in Brainerd. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
