Frank Dumbeck

Frank G. Dumbeck, 85, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Monday, February 27, 2017. Funeral Services for Frank will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN at 3:30PM with visitation beginning at 2:00PM on the day of the service at the chapel.

Frank was born on October 27, 1931 in Brainerd, MN to Joseph and Mary (Fleischhacker) Dumbeck. He was married to Sharon Hinch for 57 years. After retiring he enjoyed 30 years of hunting, fishing, traveling, cutting wood, and baking cookies. Frank loved giving red roses to the women in his life and he also liked sharing his canned goods with his family and friends. Frank’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. His greatest moments were around the fire pit telling stories and mentoring his grandchildren. Frank had an amazing impact on everyone, even the youngest person couldn’t resist his friendship. Frank was a life member and historian of the 194th regiment and a member of the Brainerd American Legion.

Frank is survived by his children, Teresa (Peter) of California, Frank of Lakeshore, MN, and Tim (Krista) of Nisswa, MN; grandchildren, Leslie, Brian, Jessica, Erika, Emily, Zach, and Ben; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Nick Dumbeck; sisters, Kathy Wetzel and Arline Jarnot; brother-in-law, Craig Hinch; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon; and sister, Marie Tougas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
