Frank Colvin

Frank L. Colvin, 80, of Brainerd, died Monday, December 21, 2009 at Crosby Care Center. Services will be at 11 AM, Monday, December 28, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Reverend Bob Hoeft. Friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to services. The interment will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley. Frank was born June 28, 1929 in Waukegan, IL, the son of George and Julia (Blazer) Colvin. After graduating high school, he worked for a Manganese Plant in Riverton. After that, Frank worked as a self-employed handyman. Frank was a member of Muskies, Inc. He liked to hunt, fish, and watch his grandchildren play sports. Frank will be missed by his wife, Betty; his children, Karen (Keith) Pikula, Sharon (Ronald) Beach, Roxanne Jensen, Dana Colvin, David Colvin, Debbie (John) Johnson, and Lynn (James) Brown; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Walter (Marsha) Colvin; and his sister, Violet Imerfall. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; and three grandchildren.
