Francis Perlinger

Francis Perlinger, 85, of Brainerd, MN died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Senior Class Care in Pequot Lakes, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Mathias Parish, with Father Daniel Weiske officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at St. Mathias Cemetery.

Francis was born May 7, 1930 in Brainerd, MN to Frank and Catherine (Tautges) Perlinger. He graduated from Brainerd High School. Francis was united in marriage with Donna Peters on June 28, 1952 at St. Francis Church in Brainerd, MN. He worked for Sears in Brainerd as a Service Tech most of his working life. Francis was a fix-it, make-due, jack-of-all-trades kind of guy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, socializing, bird-watching, woodworking, and boating. He was a great handy man, and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. Francis especially loved the Lord and his Catholic faith.

Francis is survived by his wife, Donna and his children, Mark (Patricia) Perlinger of Sandpoint, Idaho, Kevin (Julie) Perlinger of Minocqua, WI, Mary Beth (John Kundert) Perlinger of Woodbury, MN, Jon (Kathryn) Perlinger of Edina, MN, Judith (Noel Urban) Perlinger of Chassell, MI, Audrey (Rob) DeBarros of Louisville, CO, Paul (Rachel) Perlinger of Duluth, MN, sister, Lorraine Salzbrunn of Brainerd, MN, 16 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Catherine Perlinger.
