Frances "Fran" Hanson

Frances “Fran” Elaine Hanson, age 80, of Deerwood, MN and formerly of Browns Valley, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2019.  A celebration of Fran’s life will be held at 11:30AM on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, (7348 Excelsior Road, Baxter, MN 56425).  Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home in Baxter.

Fran was born on September 9, 1939 in Graceville, MN to Russell and Alice Drake.  She married Harold Hanson in February of 1964.  Fran was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, aunt and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Fran is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold; daughters, Kay (Pat) Payne, Karen (Ron) Kortz; three stepchildren, Shayne (Patti) Hanson, Emil Hanson, Jessica Hanson; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Diane (Jim) Malcolm.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Alice Drake; sisters, Pearl Smith Sjelin and Dorothy Kallstrom Barthel.
