Frances Christopherson

Frances A. Christopherson, age 85, of Hackensack, passed away August 10, 2010. She was born December 9, 1924, in Iowa Falls, IA, to Ralph and Frances (Johnson) Geary. She went to grade school in Iowa Falls and graduated from high school in Des Moines, IA. Frances married John Christopherson on December 16, 1941 in Chicago. She worked for 16 years at American National Bank in Chicago, and another 16 years as office manager at Pearlman-McDonald's. She retired and moved to Woman Lake near Hackensack in 1978, then moved in to Hackensack in 1996.

Frances is survived by her niece, Kathy Geary of New York City; and friends, Al and Liz Ramirez of Hackensack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, John Geary; niece, Gail Brogden; and friend, Robert Hansen.

Memorials are preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus.

Services will be 2 PM on Wednesday, September 1, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus, with Pastor Ronald Carnicom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hackensack.
