Floyd S. Lee age 73 of Staples formerly of the Twin Cities died Sunday July 3rd. Funeral Services will be Friday July 8th at 11:00 AM at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. There will be a time to visit with the family starting at 10:00. Burial will be at 2:30 that afternoon at the Minnesota Veteran?s Cemetery in Little Falls. Floyd was born on October 27th, 1931 in Edina, MN to Stanley and Rose Lee. After Graduating from High School he joined the US Army and served his country for four years. After the service Floyd took a job with US West Phone Company where he worked for 39 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring and relocating to Staples, Floyd built the shop of his dreams and filled it with goodies from the auctions he loved to attend. Floyd enjoyed refinishing furniture, going to auctions, and fishing with his friend Garry Carpenter. In 1999 he married Irene in Brainerd, MN. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Stan and Rose Lee of Edina and a sister June Sandon of New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife Irene, sons Steve Lee of Minneapolis, Doug Lee of Minneapolis, Stepchildren, Julie (Scott) Campbell of Little Canada, Debbie (Paul) Swanson of St. Paul, Gordon (Vicki) Langer of Wilson, WI, Mary (Bruce) Lemay of Hugo, and Joe Langer of Ft. Myers FL. He is also survived by brothers Tom (Ivy) Lee of Canada, and Bob Lee of MI, and a sister Sally (Ray) Johnson of Plymouth, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
