Florence Thornquist

Florence Thornquist, age 73, of Brainerd died on Sunday, August 5, 2001 at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Florence B. (Eberle) Thornquist was born in Long Prairie, MN on August 31, 1927, to George and Marie (Hillmer) Eberle. She grew up and attended school in Long Prairie. She completed Beauty College, and worked as a beautician. She was married to her husband of fifty years, DeLose ?Jack? Thornquist, in Long Prairie on August 28, 1950. The couple lived in St. Paul until retirement, when they moved to Mille Lacs Lake. They moved to Brainerd two and one-half years ago. Florence was a member of St. Andrew?s Catholic Church in Brainerd. She enjoyed shopping, especially at garage sales, decorating her home, and her job as a beautician. She and Jack traveled throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada after their retirement.

Florence Thornquist is survived by her husband Jack; and two brothers, Roger (Dariel) Eberle of Backus, and Allen Eberle of Long Prairie. Her parents and a brother Richard preceded her in death.
