Florence Hamilton, age 94, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. She was born to Charles and Caroline Valley on July 7, 1922, and grew up in the Royalton and Little Falls area. On April 15, 1940, she married Bill Hamilton of Backus.

Florence is survived by her children: Lovette McAninch, Jean Yost (Douglas), Bill Hamilton, Jr. (Brenda), Jim Hamilton (Debra), Rose Malmgren (Jim), Robert Hamilton (Caroline); Geradette Nies (Edwin), Bernadette Monroe, Paul Hamilton (Jennifer); many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years 6 months and 3 days; grandson, Anthony William Monroe; son-in-law, Jeffrey Monroe; sister, Hazel Robertson; brother, Robert Valley; and one great-great grandson.
