Fletcher Henseler, age 83, of Baxter, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 16, 11 AM, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, with Reverend Father Bill Skarich officiating. Interment will be at the Baxter City Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, April 15, 6-8 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
Fletcher Joseph Henseler was born January 2, 1922 in Minneapolis, to George and Agnes (Zinnel) Henseler. He graduated from De LaSalle at age 17 and enlisted in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Derepkowski June 22, 1945, in Chicago. They moved about the country and raised their family as Fletch pursued his career in the Navy. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. He spent the next 20 years working as a Security Administrator for Honeywell in Minneapolis, and the family lived in Bloomington. Upon his retirement in 1981 they moved full-time to their cottage on White Sand Lake in Baxter.

Fletch is survived by Betty, his wife of nearly 60 years; his children, George (Michelle) Henseler, of Bloomington, Paula (John) Pecarich, of Brainerd, Joy (Terry) Avery, of Plymouth, Scott (Susie) Henseler, of Helper, UT, Jody (Rick) Halet, of Champlain, Jane Jorgensen, of Plymouth, Jeff (Penny) Henseler, of San Diego, CA, and Amy (Bob) Ryan, of Baxter; a sister, Jeanine Heberling, of Pittsburgh, PA; 17 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
