Faye Case

Faye Evelyn Case, 85, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Memory Care on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Funeral Services for Faye will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Faye was born to Daniel and Marian (Kisler) Spencer at the family home in Crow Wing County on April 2, 1933. The family moved to Staples around 1940. She graduated from Staples High School in 1951. In 1952, she was united in marriage to Cyril “Bruce” Case. She worked as a telephone operator for a short time. Together she and Bruce had eight children and raised them in Staples, with Faye being CEO/COO. She loved cooking, canning, sewing, gardening, and music. Most of all she loved and cared for her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Watching the Twins play baseball was a favorite pastime of Faye’s.

She is survived by her boys, Lanny, of Maple Grove, Mark, of Staples, Dave (Cheryl), of Hemet, CA, Mike (Becky), of Austin, Craig (Karmen), of Webster, SD, and Ron (Jamie), of Staples; grandchildren and great-grandchildren sisters, Carol, of Staples, Jeanie, of Staples, and Barb, of Glyndon; and brothers, Lonny, of Semmes, AL and Dan, of North Oaks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughters Barb and Suzanne; parents; sisters, Edith, Sue and Nancy; brother, Craig; and a number of sisters-in-law and brothers – in-law.
