Everett Clow

Everett Lorin Clow, 86, died March 5th, 2015 at Golden Horizons Assisted Living where he resided in Crosslake, Minnesota. Mr Clow was born on October 8th, 1928 in Barrett, Minnesota, the son of Lorin Clow and Gladys (Larsen) Clow. He was the oldest of five children.

Everett graduated from West Central School of Agriculture at Morris, Minnesota with top honors. In 1947, Everett married Gladyce Elaine Olson. As a young man and father, Everett became a flight instructor while he trained in tool making at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He developed his skills as a tool and die man as an employee of Federal Stamping. In 1970, Everett and his wife founded Clow Stamping Company, Inc., a metal fabrications business, in St Louis Park, Minnesota. They moved Clow Stamping to Merrifield, Minnesota in 1973 where the family business has grown to currently employee over 400 residents of the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Everett was active in the community, serving on the Brainerd Regional Airport Commission Board and as an Elder of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. His generous donations benefited many in the community, supporting growth and development of such places as St Joseph's Medical Center, the YMCA, the Brainerd Regional Airport, Gloria Dei, and St Joseph's Crosslake Clinic.

Everett loved flying, dancing, fishing, snowmobiling, playing a smart game of Black Jack and meeting a challenge in the tool room.

Everett will be missed by his son Reginal (Cindy) Clow, his daughter Tara Lyn (Clow) Moghadam, his sister Joyce (Clow) Murphy, and brothers Larry Clow and Robbie Clow, as well as his grandchildren David (Clow) Cabot, Kyana Moghadam, Katya Moghadam, Sasha Moghadam, and Nicole and Gabriel Clow. He was preceeded in death by his brother Gerald Clow, his son Ricky Clow, and former wife Gladyce Clow.

His Memorial Service will be held on March 18th at the Gloria Dei Church in Pequot Lakes at 3pm. Visitation at 2pm. The service will be followed by a luncheon. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) at Alzfnd.Org
