Evelyn May

Evelyn May, age 75, of Motley, passed away at the Lakewood Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, at 1:00 PM, at the Motley Free Methodist Church. Friends may gather beginning at 11:00 AM.

Evelyn was born on February 13, 1937, to Lyman and Ida (Lucas) Esler, in Ava, Missouri. She was untied in marriage to Calvin May, on June 17, 1956, in Leader, MN, and they were blessed with four children. Evelyn worked at the Ringer Company in Staples for 30 years, and at Madden's Resort, in Brainerd, for 15 years. She retired at the age of 71. She will be missed dearly, we love you mom, grandma, and great grandma.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Ardith Tufvander, of Motley, David (Bobbie), of Hawley, Terry (Debbie), of Crosby, and Robin, of Motley; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Esler and Richard (Edith) Esler; a niece and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, her parents, and a brother, Robert.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
