Evelyn Fyhrlund

Evelyn M. Fyhrlund, age 89, of Pequot Lakes, MN, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013. She was born in Webster, SD, on March 19, 1924, to George and Helena Roth. She married Gordon E. Lamb on January 13, 1946, in Bristol, SD. Evelyn was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes, the Nisswa, MN Women's Club where she served as President for one year, Jenkins, MN VFW Auxiliary where she was honored as an "Over 45 Year Member", and the American Legion Auxiliary in Pequot Lakes. She worked at the former Beehive store in Nisswa, for 10 years. Evelyn married C.R. "Cy" Fyhrlund on March 5, 1986. They made their home on West Twin Lake in Pequot Lakes.

She is survived by her husband, Cy; sons: Randall Lamb (Kay) and Jay Lamb, both of Las Vegas; stepchildren: Debra Beck of Madison, WI, Rick Fyhrlund (Karin) of Shorewood, MN; step son-in-law, Pete Nicholas; step daughter-in-law, Shirley Fyhrlund; 9 step grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gordon Lamb; stepchildren: Vicky Nicholas, James Fyhrlund; sisters: Pearl Kightlinger, Vera Peckham, Lorene Anderson, Lorinda Morehouse and Elvie Ohlien.

Services will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 4, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery, Camp Ripley.
