Evelyn Bertram

Evelyn Bertram, age 91, formerly of Hillman, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 11 a.m., at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with Reverend Kristin Kelsey officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service. Interment will be at Dykeman Cemetery in rural Brainerd.
Evelyn Della Hamburg was born April 27, 1913 in Chicago, IL, to Frank and Minnie (Hoeft) Hamburg. She was united in marriage to Hans Bertram June 16, 1934. They moved to Hillman in 1941 and then to rural Brainerd in 1974. Hans passed away in 1976. Evelyn was a hard-working, independent lady who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed flowers and playing Bingo.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Carol (Donald) Schultz, of Brainerd and Bob (Marilyn) Bertram, of Fridley; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Richard, and Sherry Bertram, Ronald and Dale Schultz, and Debi Caughey; 13 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, two sisters, and a brother preceded her in death.
