On Monday March 22, six year old Evan Lee Lindquist of Pine River, Minnesota left this world much too soon. Evan was born October 29, 2003 to Erik and Melanie (Nissen) Lindquist. Evan was a boy in every sense of the word. He loved to always be outside whether it was playing ice hockey on their frozen river, hiking around the woods tapping maple trees for home made syrup, fishing, swimming, canoeing or simply running. He was bright boy who loved to learn and who always wanted to know more. He was a great reader and spent lots of time reading to his little sisters.
In Evan was the promise of a wonderful young man. He was wise, sensitive and empathetic beyond his years. He cared for those around him and always let them know it. The sadness losing Evan so soon in his life is lessened only by the happiness he brought to those who knew him.
Evan is survived by his parents, Erik and Melanie, two sisters, Anneka (3 1/2 years) and Maren (two months old); grandparents Judy & Jeff Nissen and Nancy & Kevin Lindquist; five great grandparents; five aunts; two uncles; two cousins and countless numbers of friends both old and young. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 26, at the Pine River-Backus High School Performance Gym. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the High School Commons.
