Eunice Marie Terry Botz, 89, went home to Jesus on April 3, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne Terry and was born February 10, 1929 in Woodside, Otter Tail, Minnesota.
Eunice graduated from Backus High School in 1947. She attended County Normal Teacher’s School, Staples, MN for one year.
Family and friends were Eunice’s passion and delight. In addition to raising five beautiful children, she dedicated her time and made a difference in the lives of several Backus Elementary students and Pine River Development Achievement Center(DAC) participants over 20 years. Eunice believed in all people and would often put others’ needs before her own.
Eunice is survived by her children: Kathryn (Ted) Martyn, Mike (Julie) Botz, Terri (Bill Brown) Botz, Steve (Katy) Botz, Wilda Lu (Leonard) Nelson; son-in-law, Jerry Lamon; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers: Andrew, Alvin (Lorentine), Arvid (Betty) Terry, and Tom Berg; sister-in-law, Elaine; and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anne Terry; beloved husband, Bill Botz; brothers: Henry, Gordon and Melvin Terry; sister, Francis Anne Terry; sisters-in-law: Lillian, Beverly, LaReine and Edna Terry.
Arrangements were provided by Kline Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be at 1:00 on Sunday, April 8, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan, Pine River. Lunch will follow service.
