Eugene Stoll

Eugene Stoll, age 80, of Pine River, passed away on October 13, 2017, at his home. He was born to Eugene Stoll, Sr. and Inez Stoll on July 2, 1937, in Chicago. Gene was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ann Stoll, on August 29, 1960. He served 4 years of active duty military service, before his 21-year career as an Engineer for several different railroads across the country. Gene was a member of the Pine River and Backus American Legions. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who had a love for planes, boats, cars, photography, and travel.


Gene was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Stoll; and granddaughter, Bridgett Stoll. He is survived by his wife, Ann Stoll, of Pine River; sons, Dale Stoll of Staples, Scott Stoll (Michele) of Missoula, Montana; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow at 12 p.m. at the Pine River American Legion.
