Eugene O?Hotto, age 67, of Crosslake, MN died Sunday, February 2, 2003 at his home. Eugene John O?Hotto was born May 4, 1935 in Little Falls, MN son of Albert and Margaret (Hoppe) O?Hotto. He joined the United States Navy and served during the Korean Conflict, receiving a honorable discharge in 1953. He was a truck driver then a dispatch working for Trucking, Inc. in Minneapolis for 25 years. He moved to Crosslake in 1987 where he owned and operated Mr. Green Gene?s Lawn Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and gardening. He was a member of the Crosslake American Legion and was a former manager.
Gene is survived by his sons, Rodney (Deanna) O?Hotto of Pierz, Greg O?Hotto of Brainerd; sisters, Evelyn Butterworth of Salinas, CA, Madelyn Mulheran of Eden Prairie, MN, Janet Bondietti of Salinas, CA, Bernice Carlson of Bowlus, MN; a brother Harold O?Hotto of Minneapolis and 4 grandchildren. His parents, 1 daughter Lori and 3 brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be on Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 11 AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Honor guard will be provided by the Crosslake American Legion Post #500. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Cemetery at Camp Ripley. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
