Ethel M “June” Zuroski, age 78, Brainerd, passed away 2-4-17 at home surrounded by her husband and children after a 3 year battle with ovarian cancer. June was born 12-2-38 in Columbus, NE to Theodore and Elisabeth Lund. She married Leo Zuroski and they raised their 6 children in Omaha NE and Fridley, MN. In 2004, June and Leo retired to their lake home near Brainerd, MN.
June loved spending time with her family, gardening, sitting by the lake, playing cards, reading mystery novels and traveling. She was an active member of Nisswa Garden Club, Nisswa Womens Club and St. Christopher Catholic Church. She was a president of the Minneapolis Mothers of Twins Club and served on the Parish Council of St. William Catholic Church in Fridley, MN.
June is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leo and children Mike (Leslie) of Sun Prairie, WI; Pat (Jean) of Rochester, MN; Kathy (Kurt) Johnson of Buford, GA; Barry (Linda) of Fort Collins, CO; Kerry (Mike) Marsolek of Nowthen, MN and Kristy (Ty Lindsay) of Fridley, MN. She is also survived by sisters Mary Watson of Littleton, CO and Tedi Lund of Omaha, NE, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 2-10-17 at 11am at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Nisswa. Visitation will be Thursday, 2-9-17 from 5 to 7pm at Brenny Funeral Chapel, Baxter and also one hour prior to the service at St. Christopher. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN>
