Esther Bogart

Esther Bogart, age 98, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at the St. Cloud VA. She was born December 31, 1911, in Pine River, to William and Rena Bogart. Esther served as a cook in the U.S. Army during World War II, and considered that to be the happiest years of her life. She also loved raising dairy goats.

Esther is survived by her brother, James Bogart of Washington; sister, Bernice Davis of Arizona; nieces: Carol Sorsoleil of Wisconsin, Jean Thomas of Longville; nephew, Bill Stukey of Nashwauk; and many more nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: George, Hank, Robert and Tom; and sisters: Kate Wilmot, Phyllis Neese, Fanny Welch, Rose French, Pearl Stukey, and Viola Hester.

Services will be 1 PM on Saturday, October 30, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
