Ernest Jaschke

Ernest E. ?Bud? Jaschke, age 76, of rural Randall, died Tuesday, March 23rd, 2004 at St. Otto?s Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 27th at 10:30 in St. James Catholic Church in Randall. Burial will follow in the St James Parish Cemetery. Relatives will receive friends on Friday evening from 4 to 7 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall. Parish Prayers will be said at 6:00 and the Rosary will begin at 7:00.
Ernest was born on August 1st, 1927, on the Jaschke family farm, five miles southwest of Randall, MN to the late Paul and Gertrude (Kempenich) Jaschke. He grew up in Parker Township and attended country school at District #53 before going to Little Falls Community High School where he graduated with the Class of 1945. He served his country as a military police officer in Panama during the Korean War. Ernest was united in marriage to Marcine Turchin on May 27th, 1958 at St. Ann?s Catholic Church in Brandon, MN. Ernest and Marcine, along with their 11 children, farmed southwest of Randall for nearly 40 years. The Jaschke farm was honored by the Governor of Minnesota as a Centennial Farm in 1997. Ernest was an active member of St. James Catholic Church and a past member of the Parish Council. Bud enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Ernest is survived by his wife; Marcine, son, John and his wife Kathy of St. Paul; son, Stephen and his wife Karen of St Cloud; son, Thomas and his wife Jody of Erie, CO; daughter. Mary (Jaschke) Reinke and her husband Robert of Waukesha, WI; son Donald of St. Paul, MN; daughter. Ann (Jaschke) Mueller and her husband Steven of Maple Lake; daughter, Jeanne (Jaschke) Pugh and her husband Glen of Pierz; son, Leo and his wife Kathy of Westminster, CO; daughter, Laura (Jaschke) VanDenheuvel and her husband Ryan of Princeton; son Jeffery and his wife Rachel of St. Cloud, and son Gregory of Richland, WA; 15 grandchildren; Emma and Karl Jaschke, Mitchell and Madison Jaschke, Mikah and Zariah Jaschke, Michael, Kaitlyn, and Johnathan Reinke, Travis, Justin, and Evan Pugh, Andrew Jaschke, Mark and Anna VanDenheuvel; sister, Caroline Klinker of Finland, MN; sister, Audrey Baron and her husband Richard of Browerville, sisters-in-law, Cecilia Jaschke of Southgate, Mich.;Beulah Jaschke of Randall; and Doreen Jaschke of Long Prairie, brother-in law; Milton Voltin of Delano, and 37 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Carl, Leo, Matt, and Mark; sisters, Threasa, Evelyn (Flesland), Margaret (Altrichter) and Catherine (Voltin), brother-in-laws; Harvey Klinker, Fritz Flesland, Adolph Altrichter, and a granddaughter; Maranda Jaschke.
