Erma Pavlacky

Erma Pavlacky, 93, of Staples, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at her home. Services for Erma will be at 11:00AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, with Pastor Carl Larson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5:00 PM, Sunday, November 19 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at West Lyons Cemetery in Verndale, MN.

Erma was born February 9, 1924 to Christ and Anna (Raddohl) Swenson in Hazel Run, MN. She went to school in Clarkfield, MN and was confirmed into the Lutheran faith there. Erma moved to the Staples area with her family. She was united in marriage to Don Pavlacky on October 23, 1943 in Staples. Erma worked in the woods cutting pulp, at the Cozy Café, Staples hospital, and at the Ringer plant. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Erma enjoyed crocheting, dancing, playing cards, gardening, flowers, cooking, baking and canning. Erma was a caregiver for many people; she had a big impact on many people’s lives. She was the rock that kept her whole family together. Most important to Erma, was her family.

Erma is survived by her children; Butch (Gail) of Vergas, MN, Gail (Dale) Betz of St. Peter, MN; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughters, Donna Klause, Connie Dailey; son-in-law, Jim Dailey; parents; and seven siblings. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
