Erika Marie Dalquist was born April 18, 1981 to Colleen (Boone) and Duane Dalquist in Little Falls, MN. Erika grew up in Randall and attended school there until her family moved to the Pillager area in 1992. During all four years of high school, Erika was a cheerleader, played in the band and sang in the choir. In 1999, Erika graduated from Pillager High School. She was employed by Meyer Associates Teleservices. It was her dream to join the Air Force; and she was only a test away from realizing this dream. Erika relished taking time to hang out with friends and family. She loved animals and music and had a great sense of humor. She had the uncanny ability to make new friends wherever she went. She was lovingly referred to as ?Sunny? by many of her friends.
Erika is survived by her parents, Colleen and Duane Dalquist; brothers, Steven and Thomas; grandparents, Richard and Delores Dalquist, of Randall, Mary Boone, of Randall; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Boone.
Funeral services for Erika will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 4, at Lakewood Free Evangelical Church in Baxter, with Reverend Kathryn Ingbritsen officiating. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 3, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment will be at a later date, at the Randall City Cemetery.
