Emmett Mather

Emmett S. Mather, age 90, of Baxter, went home to Jesus on Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was the son of Stanley and Alice (Bergeron) Mather and was born December 17, 1927. Emmett was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hawaii.

Emmett is survived by his wife, Janice (Gendron) Mather; sons, Fred Mather (Nora), Scott Mather (Jean); stepchildren: Mary Lou Kristanoff, Marvin Aultman (Penny), Penny Plant (Donnie), Lee Aultman, Debra Stoe (Mike), Thomas Austin (Teri), Corinna Haag (Frank), Scott Austin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Valaria Mather; daughters, Vickie Mather, Cindy Bennett; son, Curtis Mather; sister, Eunice Biskey (Fred); stepmother, Albertina Horn; and stepson, Terry Aultman.

Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, March 29, at Church of the Nazarene, Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Hay Point Cemetery, Swatara, MN, at a later date.
