Emilie (Pepper Morris) Fitch passed away May 28th, 2024, just six days before her 81st birthday.
Emilie was a bright, compassionate person who especially loved children. She graduated from West Chester University with a teaching degree and went on to teach at elementary schools in Delaware and Michigan.
Emilie was a loving mom and advisor to people of all ages: the littles and young and grown adults. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emilie loved the beaches of her hometown Lewes, Delaware.
Emilie had broad interests, was well-read, and traveled around the world to places like Monte Carlo, Taiwan, China, France, Italy, Hong Kong and more.
Emilie was a partner in Fitch and Kral, an importing company of unique gifts and accessories. She was a church administrator of the Messiah Methodist Church in Plymouth and used her creative skills to develop a Vacation Bible School curriculum. Emilie also worked with children on the Great Books Project and volunteered on the Wayzata Hockey Board. Emilie offered her time and talents to all the communities she lived in throughout her life.
Since moving to Northern Minnesota, Emilie filled her days making over her home, filling the interiors with blues and greens to reflect her love of her hometown, establishing planting beds, and planting trees and flowers. She appreciated the beauty of God’s world. Emilie loved her time with her Northern Minnesota family and the wonderful folks at Grace United Methodist Church.
Emilie is survived by her husband Dean; three sons, Nick, Andy, and Greg, as well as nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by many.
