Emil “E” Curlo, age 77, of Fort Ripley, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home. He was born to Emil and Helen Curlo, on March 8, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio. Emil proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. For 25 years, he worked for BF Goodrich in Ohio and Minnesota. His hobbies included building black powder firearms and model cars. In his early years he loved dancing and music. Emil will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his big heart. His pride and joy was his family.
Emil is survived by his son Jeffrey (Tami) Curlo, Webster, MN; daughter Susan (Cory) Schmidt, Merrifield, MN; son Greg (Malin) Curlo, Stockholm, Sweden; grandchildren Mia, Karoline, Alexander and Daniel Curlo; and sister Jeanne Malin, Columbus, OH. His beloved wife, Carol A. Curlo, preceded Emil in death.
Service and burial will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
