Elza Bandy

March 2, 1926 — November 13, 2009

Elza E. Bandy, age 83, of Motley, passed away today at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, Minnesota. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 19, 2009at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, Minnesota. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services at Brenny. Burial will be Poplar Cemetery in Leader, Minnesota after the service.

Elza E. Bandy was born on March 2, 1926, in Leslie, Missouri, the son of George and Margaret Lawrence Bandy. He served his country in WWII in Korean Conflict in the Navy and Army. He was with the Federal Government for 29 years in the Twin Cities as a General Construction Foreman. He moved/retired to Leader, Minnesota in 1978. He continued with construction of houses, fishing, hunting and loved gardening.

Elza was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Opal; 13 brothers and sisters; son; son-in-law, Robert Floyd. Elza will be greatly missed by daughter, Robin Floyd of Motley; grandchildren, Dustin Marshall, Dylan Marshall, Kelsey Marshall; great grandchildren, Fyona Opal Floyd, Robert Iszaac Floyd, and Mina Marie Floyd; and many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are pending with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples.
