Honoring the Life of Elsie Boldra
Elsie I. Boldra, age 66, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Hospital on Thursday, April 14. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, at 9:00 AM at the Staples Church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4-6, at the church, as well as an hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Elsie was born to Mary (Kastonek) Spracklin and George Spracklin on March, 20, 1945. As a youth, Elsie moved with her parents to Utah, Arkansas, and several towns in Minnesota before moving to Staples. Elsie was united in marriage to Keith Weston Boldra Sr. on July 19, 1964 in Staples. Elsie was employed at Crystal Lakes Foods in Decatur, Arkansas and as a housekeeper, care giver to her mom (Mary), grandmother (Christine), and brother (David)and Percy Stevens.
Elsie's hobbies included rug making, collecting salt and pepper shakers, quilting at Church of Christ, family history research, crocheting, bird watching, Agate hunting and picking wild mushrooms.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Keith Weston Boldra, parents George and Mary Spracklin, son, Vernon Keith Boldra, two brothers, David and Clifford Spracklin.
Elsie is survived by her son, Keith Dwight Boldra, sisters, Suzzy Harper of New York Mills, Konnie Overy of Staples and Tracey (Leroy) Denny of Staples. Brothers, Roy Davey Jr. of Deer Creek Minnesota and Ardell(Art) Davey of Browerville Minnesota. Brother-in-law Larry (Rhonda) Boldra, sister-in-laws, Terry Boldra of Arkansas, and Karen (Ronnie) Burnham of Starbuck Minnesota along with many nephews,nieces, relatives and a host of friends.
