Elmer Hein

Elmer A. Hein, age 74, of Motley, MN, died on Friday, October 19, 2001, at his home near Motley. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23rd, at 10:00 AM, at the Motley Public Cemetery, with Reverend Terry Stumbo officiating. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
Elmer Arthur Hein was born on November 28, 1926, to William and Martha (Radke) Hein, in Plainview, MN. He grew up and attended school in Plainview. He worked as a milk hauler in Plainview. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. On April 2, 1958 he was united in marriage to Lucy Evers in Nashua, IA. In 1960, the couple moved to their farm south of Staples, where they lived out the rest of their lives. Elmer was a lifetime member of the Staples VFW, Post 1910.

Elmer is survived by 2 sisters, Ruby Zarling of Plainview and Frieda Fick of Plainvew; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy, his parents, and 2 half brothers.
