Elizabeth Sather

Elizabeth K. Sather age 88, of Staples, died Sunday at the Staples Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 21, at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Peter Kirchner officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the Brenny Funeral Chapel from 4 ? 7 with the Rosary at 5:30,. Interment will be in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery. Staples. Memorial are preferred. Elizabeth K. Sather was born on September 1, 1915 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Mollner) Fellman at Philbrook, MN. She attended school through the eighth grade and received her GED. She was married to Ralph Sather in Sisseton, So. Dakota on September 14, 1940. They raised their family in Staples. She worked as a cook for 17 years at the Mary Rondorf home until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters; Karen (Ralph) Beste of Cottage Grove, Elaine Bieringer of Blaine, 3 sons; Lawrence (Terry) of Parkers Prairie, Donald (Peg)of Staples, Douglas (Pam) of Staples, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, Alice Sather, and Louise Fellman both of Staples. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 great-grandchildren, 7 brothers, and 3 sisters.
