Elizabeth Krone

Elizabeth "Betty" Krone, 72, of Fifty Lakes, died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral Services for Betty will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at St. Emily's Catholic Church in Emily with Father Eisel officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or the St. Cloud Hospital Cancer Ward.
Betty was born September 15, 1933 to Ernest and Emma (Willkom) Brodtmann in St. Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to Jay "Mike" Krone August 31, 1957. The couple lived in Brooklyn Park before moving to Fifty Lakes in 1989. Betty enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, and fishing. She appreciated times of peace and quiet at her lake home.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jay Krone, of Fifty Lakes; her children, Kathy (Lester) Thooft, of Big Lake, Ken (Tammi) Krone, of Duluth, Patty (Joel) Pruitt, of Coon Rapids, Terry (Doug) Inman, of Hamilton, OH, Debbie (Chad) Schmitz, of Ramsey, and Jenny (Scott) Peterson, of Hanover; three sisters, Marleen Lindemer, Elaine Kennedy, and Donna Birchem; two brothers, Jim Brodtmann and Ernie Brodtmann; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Ernest.
