Elizabeth "Becky" Potz

Elizabeth "Becky" Ann Potz passed away October 2, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Society in Pine River. A graveside memorial service and internment will take place at 4 P.M. on Wednesday, October 11, at the Motley Cemetery with dinner at Bricks Travel Center following the service. 

Becky was born to Gerald and Adeline (Brazier) Potz on June 3, 1954. She was raised in Kasota, MN and was a 1973 graduate of St. Peter High School. Becky moved up north to Pequot Lakes in the 1980s. She worked for Grand View Lodge for many years as well as for various home healthcare agencies. In 2005, she received her CNA license and worked for the Good Samaritan Society in Pine River for many years. In 2014, she received her bachelor’s degree for Healthcare Management and was very proud of that accomplishment. 

Becky thoroughly enjoyed being an aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews and took her role as a godmother very seriously. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, geneology, spending time with loved ones, and doting on her dog. She also had a great love of music, especially for her Celtic Thunder boys.

Becky is survived by nephew, Adam Potz; niece, Sarah O'Brien; nephew, Christopher Glasby; great niece, Jennifer Potz; great niece, Rachel Kelsey; great nephew, Ryan Potz; great nephew, Jacob Potz; great nephew, Isacc Potz; great nephew, Anthony O'Brien; great niece, Lily Glasby; great niece, Adeline O'Brien; great-niece, Cassidy O'Brien; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Adeline Potz; brother, Mike Potz; sister, Toni Glasby; and nephew, Joel Potz.
