Elizabeth Adkins

Elizabeth Irene "Ma" Adkins, age 78, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Society Pine River. She was born July 30, 1932, to Harriet and John Seebach and raised in rural Backus. Irene married John Adkins and raised five children, Jackie, Alicia, Randy, Joel, and Jay. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and her many pets and friends. She opened her home to all her special friends and animals. She will be remembered for her giving and loving heart, and of course, her sense of humor.

Irene is survived by her children: Jackie Clark, Alicia Elson, Jay Adkins (Deb); and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and sons, Randy and Joel.

A celebration of her life will be held at her son, Jay's, 2289 28th Ave. SW in Pine River, on November 9 from 4 to 8 PM with eulogy at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to E. Adkins, c/o A. Elson, 410 9th St. South, Brainerd, MN 56401.
