Eleanor K. Wilson, 94, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Almond House in Brainerd, MN. Services for Eleanor will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Crosslake Presbyterian Church in Crosslake. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services at the church. Reception to follow at the church.
Eleanor was born June 16, 1918 in Muncie, IN, the daughter of Joseph D. and Rosa Mae Renfroe. In June of 1936, Eleanor both graduated from high school and married Myron, to whom she was married for 57 years. The couple made their home in Michigan and Illinois. Eleanor was a homemaker and very active in community events. She enjoyed art and music and loved to work on needlepoint. She was a member of the Order of the Rose - Eastern Star as well as an Ordained Elder of the Presbyterian Church. She moved to the Brainerd Lakes area about 11 years ago to be close to family.
She will be missed by her daughters, Rebecca (Bill) Bury, of Crosslake and Teri (Al) Geist, of MI; grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Bloch, Robert (Kathy) Gibson, and Kathy (Orlando) Rivera; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron; her parents; and brothers, Orville and Walter.
Memorials are preferred to the Crosslake Presbyterian Church (14444 Daggett Pine Road, Crosslake, MN 56442).
