Eleanor Houck

Eleanor "Ellie" Houck, age, 81, of St. Cloud, formerly of Pequot Lakes, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, surrounded by her children. Ellie was born September 16, 1934, in Winona, MN, to Clem and Fran Cysewski. Ellie married Don Houck on May 4, 1957. In 1971 they purchased Timber Ridge Resort in Pequot Lakes. They raised their 4 children in the Pequot Lakes/Nisswa area. Ellie was an active member of St. Alice Catholic Church for over 40 years, Pequot Lakes American Legion Auxiliary and she loved bowling with the Wednesday Coffee League in Pine River.

Ellie is survived by her sons: Don Jr. (Mary) of Minnesota Lake, David (Sherri) of St. Cloud; daughter, Donna (Robert) Patton of New Prague; son-in-law, Vince Hurtig of Hardin, MT; 1 brother and 3 sisters; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on September 29, 1994; daughter, Connie, on August 11, 2010; her parents and mother and father in-law.

Funeral service will be 10 AM on Saturday, March 12, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes with visitation one hour prior to Mass and lunch immediately following in the church hall. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa.
