Eleanor Lena Foy, age 92 of Brainerd, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Carefree Living in Brainerd. A private memorial service will be held in Eleanor’s honor, followed by a burial at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. All arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
Eleanor was born on November 8th, 1927 in Redfield, SD to Peter and Ingaborg (Alsaker) Udager. She attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. Eleanor married Robert Foy on February, 7th, 1948. She enjoyed an engaging book and a competitive game of bridge with her friends, and she always had a cross stitch project to complete and a plant to tend. Unequivocally, despite her wide variety of interests, moments with her family remained her strongest passion throughout her years. Eleanor had the opportunity to travel the world with her family and relished every minute of making memories with her loved ones. Additionally, she was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross for over 30 years and was also a member of the Nisswa Women’s Club, Bridge Club, Garden Club, and Angel’s Book Club. Eleanor will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.
Eleanor is survived by her children Steven (Julie) Foy, Barbara (Sam) Mosolino; brother Thomas (Ruth) Udager; grandchildren, Mike (Miranda) Foy, Chris (Anne Marie) Foy, Matt (Ashley) Foy, Sam (Kristy) Mosolino, Tim (Kelly) Mosolino, Jamie (Ryan) Buck; and great-grandchildren, Brenna, Blake, Ashlyn, Connor, Ryne, Reagan, Reese, Hunter, Kennedy, Addison, and Quinnlyn. Eleanor is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert, brother Helmar Udager, and sister-in-law Geneva Udager.
