Eldred (Ellie) Lindenfelser, age 78, passed away on November 18, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service at the church. Lunch will follow Mass at the American Legion in Aitkin. Military Honors will be presented at the Aitkin American Legion following the service.
Eldred was born November 9, 1946. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn Menzia Lindenfelser; son, Kevin (Annemarie) Lindenfelser; daughters; Tami (David) Smith, Kimberly Vosberg (Mike Niewind); seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Glenn Lindenfelser; and one sister-in-law Nona Vetsch Lindenfelser. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Michels Lindenfelser and father, Reinhold Lindenfelser; five brothers; and two sister-in-laws.
Ellie was a Viet Nam Veteran and active in the Aitkin American Legion, Aitkin DAV, Knights of Columbus and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. He loved to play cards and enjoyed fishing with neighbors and friends from the legion and hunting with family members. If you told Ellie something needed to be done, he would make sure it got done. He was the icon of the extended Lindenfelser family and will be missed by all. Rest in peace.
Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic, Cancer Research, St. Croix Hospice, Riverwood Hospital or the Aitkin Legion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
