Eldon E. McCulley, age 81, of Nisswa, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 29, 1:30 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with Reverend David Holte officiating. Friends may visit at the church during the two hours prior to services. Private interment will be at Lake Edward Cemetery. Memorials are preferred, to Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
Eldon McCulley was born September 13, 1924 in Ulen, to Floyd and Myrtle (Reitter) McCulley. He was united in marriage to Vivian Thompson October 9, 1945 in Frazee. Eldon worked as a turkey farmer for Earl B. Olson. He loved farming and enjoyed getting out on a tractor and working with soil. He enjoyed camping with family and friends, and snowmobiling was his special love. Vivian, his wife of 60 years, was his beloved companion through good times and bad. His children and grandchildren were very important in his life. Even though he didn?t always show it, he loved each and every one of them deeply.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Vivian; children, Diane (Mike) Alred, Baldwin, WI, Larry (Becky) McCulley, Brainerd, and Rodney (Betsy) McCulley, Pillager; six grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Jan) McCulley, Sanford, FL, Lila (Art) Kimmes, Sartell, Vera (Roger) Fillinger, Denver, CO, Betty (Walt) Schwab, Denver, CO, and Lois (Albert) Drietz, Kennsburg, CO;
